Móra publishes over 300 titles annually, producing more than 1 million copies each year. Its portfolio includes classical Hungarian and world literature, such as The Paul Street Boys, Pippi Longstocking, Lisa and Lottie, The Little Prince, Winnie-the-Pooh, Momo, and The Neverending Story. The publisher also proudly curates the works of renowned Hungarian authors such as Éva Janikovszky, Ágnes Bálint, Ervin Lázár, István Fekete, Veronika Marék, Gábor Nógrádi, Mária Szepes, and Magda Szabó. Additionally, Móra is the Hungarian publisher of international authors including Richard Scarry, Erich Kästner, and Astrid Lindgren.

Móra’s portfolio also includes licensed products and comic books featuring beloved characters such as The Little Mole, Busy Town, Thomas the Tank Engine, Spirit, Paw Patrol, Gabby’s Dollhouse, Bing, Asterix, and various LEGO franchises. These products are marketed under the MóraFUN brand.

In addition to publishing high-quality children’s literature and nonfiction, Móra considers teaching and educational activities an essential part of its mission. The Móra EDU brand was launched in collaboration with renowned professionals, focusing on fun, competency-building educational materials. This includes game-based publications for teachers, parents, and children. A key part of Móra EDU is the LÜK product family, a 50-year-old German competency-based learning system. Currently available in 35 countries and 18 languages, LÜK has been an integral part of Hungary’s education system for 15 years.

Beyond traditional publishing activities, Móra is involved in innovative children’s book projects, such as the development of the digital application BookRKids. As Hungary’s first digital children’s book library, BookRKids has evolved into a prominent player in the international startup market in both literature and education. Furthermore, in partnership with others, Móra co-founded 6szín Teátrum in 2017, a small but professionally recognized theater in Budapest, thus establishing its presence in the theatrical scene.

With the expansion of Móra’s distribution network, a modern warehouse became indispensable. Therefore, in 2021, Móra opened a 3,000-square-meter logistics base in Budaörs.

Over the years, Móra Publishing House has increasingly taken on the curation of literary oeuvres that include works for adults. In 2021, its management decided to establish a dedicated publishing house for adult literature, Trend Publishing, to ensure these works receive the prominence they deserve.
